Newly appointed generals with the Chief of the SA Army and acting Warrant Officer of the SA Army

The Chief of the SA Army, Lieutenant General V.R. Masondo inaugurated seventeen SA Army Senior Officers who were promoted from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General with effect from 1 November 2011 at Paratus Club SA Army College on the 30 November 2011.

The inauguration was aimed at congratulating and preparing the newly appointed Brigadier Generals for a new phase in their careers as Generals in the SA Army.

Newly appointed Brigadier Generals took an oath concurring to be good leaders to their sub-ordinates and the SA Army as a whole. To ensure that they accept responsibility vested on them they were issued with commitment certificates.
Lieutenant General V.R. Masondo congratulated the newly appointed Generals and reminded them of the challenges and responsibilities they will be faced with as every rank grows with its own responsibility.
